About Tami Reed

Let's Make Their Mouths Water.

I’ve had a camera in my hands one way or another since I was thirteen and permanently borrowed my dad’s diehard Minolta rangefinder (thanks, Dad!). Over the years, I moved on to shoot with 35mm SLRs, a 4x5 view camera, antique medium format cameras…just about anything I could get my hands on. Since my first client in 1986, the Menil Collection in Houston, I have shifted from architectural and urban photography to lifestyle and food photography, both on location and in the studio. My shooting style is natural and informal, often preferring candid expressions, unstaged situations, "real people" models, and food that you can eat after the shoot. My client style is to take good care of you before, during, and after the shoot.

Currently based in the San Antonio/Austin area in Texas, I shoot custom imagery for clients as well as stock photography, available for license at Getty Images and iStockphoto. I was named one of ASMP’s “Best of 2011” (ASMP is the American Society of Media Photographers, an international professional organization for commercial photographers).
